A Middle School Experience that Builds Leaders
At Devon Prep, middle school is more than academics—it’s a time for your son to grow into a confident, capable young man. Our dedicated leadership team, structured support, and flexible curriculum ensure every student is challenged, supported, and inspired.
From navigating the transition to Middle School in sixth grade, to building independence and ownership in seventh grade, to preparing for high school by eighth grade, students develop executive functioning skills, self-confidence, and leadership through engagement, analytical thinking, and mentorship.

Get Ahead with Our Curriculum
Devon Prep Middle School gives students a head start with a curriculum designed for academic challenge and flexibility.
Math
Course placement is determined by a placement exam along with each student’s academic history and experience. With small class sizes, schedules remain flexible—allowing adjustments when needed to ensure every student is in the right level to grow and succeed.
World Language
Beginning in seventh grade, students study a chosen language over two years (Level I). Courses are selected based on student interest, with a clear path into Level II in 9th grade and advanced or AP options in high school.
Flexible Learning
Each student’s schedule is thoughtfully built to reflect their strengths, needs, and interests. A range of elective offerings gives students the opportunity to explore new subjects and begin discovering what they may want to pursue in high school.

OUr Philosophy
Middle School is a time to discover identity, grow independence, and develop character. At Devon Prep, our approach centers on these core pillars:
Challenge Shapes Independence
Through academic and personal challenges, students develop independence while strengthening skills in planning, organization, and self-management.
LEGACY Program
LEGACY (Leadership, Empathy, Grit, Accountability, Community, You) brings students together across grades through events and shared experiences that build character and community. Members of the LEGACY Council help plan and lead these initiatives.
Character & Faith Formation
A robust Mission and Ministry program ensures Catholic values are lived daily.
Discovering Identity
Students explore their interests, values, and strengths, gaining a clearer sense of who they are and who they are becoming.
