College Counseling

Guiding every student toward the college that’s the right fit—preparing them for success academically, socially, and personally.

Preparing Students for College and Beyond

At Devon Prep, college counseling is more than helping students complete applications—it’s a personalized process that equips each young man to find his best-fit college and thrive there.

From the first day on campus, students build motivation, explore academic interests, and develop the habits that lead to college and life success. By the time they reach junior year, students enter our formal College Counseling Program, designed to guide them step by step through the exploration, selection, and application process.

Our College Counseling Program has enjoyed considerable success: 100% of our graduates continue their education at an institution of higher level learning.

Structured Guidance Throughout High School

  • College Visit Program: Each fall, over 90 colleges and universities visit Devon Prep to meet juniors and seniors, answer questions, and share insights about their campuses.
  • Seminars & Individual Strategy: Juniors and seniors participate in “College Counseling Seminar” classes once per cycle, covering the application process, standardized testing, and strategies for finding the best fit. Each student meets individually with the Director of College Counseling and their parents to tailor a personalized plan.
  • Information Sessions: After midterms, the Director hosts evening sessions for students and parents, providing the College Counseling Handbook and guidance on the application journey.
