Devon Prep Theme Blocks

This is an excerpt for this page. It has been entered here to help demonstrate how the Page Header block works.

These blocks are custom-created for your site and part of your Devon Prep theme.

Future developers who need to edit or extend these custom blocks should also refer to the README.md file in each block’s directory within the theme.

Page Header

Similar to the Devoted Page Header, this block displays the pages’s title, breadcrumbs, excerpt, and featured image. You must set a featured image and excerpt for each post, if you’d like them to display. No image renders if no featured image is set.

Default Page Header

Demonstrated here with a light border so you can see the bounds of the block. Border will not render on actual page headers.

This is a carousel slide

Carousel slides can contain any block, although in this demo, we mostly use images.

A woman in a plaid shirt facing away from the camera looks down at the sidewalk near a city street. Her right hand is on her head, possibly adjusting her hair, which is wrapped in a bun. The street is busy with cars, and the weather is cloudy and foggy. The lights reflect in the wet street. Tall buildings flank both sides of the street, but the sky is visible in the center, cloudy and gray.
Large mural on the side of a brick building, likely a rowhome, in Philadelphia in fall, with visible yellow leaves on a tree in the foreground. The mural shows a rural landscape with mountains in the background, and a people sharing an outdoor meal or potluck in the foreground.
A silver PATCO commuter train is traveling toward the viewer on a raised track. The train is labeled "LOCAL" and the conductor is visible through the front glass. The conductor wears an orange and yellow safety vest. Above the train, a bridge for pedestrians and cars is visible. It has blue railings and is lined with streetlights. Two men are standing on the bridge, facing away from the camera. Behind them, a sign warns trucks about a topple risk due to a sharp turn ahead.
Aerial view of intersecting brick walkways cutting through green grass on the University of Philadelphia campus. A single student walks toward the left at the intersection of two of the walkways. The student is wearing a backpack, sneakers, and a black shirt with a white design on the front. It is early fall, and the leaves are slightly yellow. Fallen leaves litter the grass nearest the bottom of the photo. One walkway is lined by two park benches. They are empty, but a bike is parked between them.

Carousel with “Peek”

Shows a peek of the next slide in the track.

Two women walk on a sidewalk facing away from the photographer. It is sunny and they are dappled in shade from a non-visible tree. Both women wear shade hats and cary large tote bags. They are casually dressed, one is wearing sandals. They are passing restaurants with tables on the sidewalk. No diners at the tables, and the umbrellas are down. Ahead of them, signs on buildings read "Campbell's Place Food - Cocktails" and "Fiesta III Pizza." Several street signs are also visible.
