Our Philosophy
Devon Preparatory School provides need-based financial assistance to academically qualified students whose families may require support.
Financial aid is intended to bridge the gap between tuition and what a family can reasonably contribute. Each award is based on demonstrated financial need.
How to Apply for Financial Aid
Devon Prep uses the Clarity Application to assess financial need.
- Applications must be submitted online.
- The application may be saved and completed in multiple sessions.
- Supporting documentation may be required.
Important Deadlines
- New Families: Apply by 11/15/27
- Current Devon Prep Families: Reapply by 12/31/27
Financial aid cannot be awarded unless the application is submitted by the deadline.
All returning families must reapply each year.

Merit Scholarships
Scholarships Overview
Merit scholarships are awarded based on the strength of a student’s admission application, including:
- Academic performance
- Teacher recommendations
- Entrance exam scores
There is no separate scholarship application. All applicants are automatically considered.
Scholarship awards are communicated at the time of acceptance and are independent of need-based financial aid.
Scholarship Criteria
Merit awards are typically reserved for high-achieving applicants. In many cases, entrance exam scores at or above the 90th percentile nationally are required, though standards may vary depending on the applicant pool.
Please note:
- Devon Prep does not award full scholarships.
- Scholarships are not awarded specifically for athletics.
- The number and amount of awards may vary each year.
